Events
According to its statute, the purpose of the association is the “promotion of scientific exchange between the German-speaking geographical area and Japan”. To achieve this goal a range of activities are carried out, which are directed, in the first instance, to all former and present JSPS fellows, as well as to organisations interested in scientific exchange with Japan. Only the series of events titled Members invite Members is exclusively for members of the JSPS Club.
Members can promote own events themselves by sending an invitation through the club's mailing list.
Third party events are only forwarded by the club's office via the club's mailing list if it is a scientific event that covers German-speaking countries and Japan, and a member of the club is one of the speakers.
