Professor Dr. Heinrich Menkhaus, our CEO, was awarded the ”small Order of the Rising Sun with Rosette“ (The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette). The Order of the Rising Sun is awarded by the Japanese state to people who have rendered outstanding services to the country and the common good. The small Order of the Rising Sun with Rosette is awarded to people who have made outstanding achievements, with the focus being on the content of their achievements. It is a high honor bestowed by the Japanese Imperial Family. Professor Menkhaus received this award in recognition of his services to the promotion of academic exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and Germany in his role as former Chairman of the German-Japanese Society for Labor Law (DJGA) and current Chairman of the Board of the German JSPS Alumni Association.
