Regional Groups

Intent and purpose of our regional groups is the establishment of a network with persons and institutions that are Japan-related or interested in Japan, as well as the promotion of scientific cooperation between Japan and Germany in the region concerned. Everyone interested in Japan is cordially invited to participate in the various activities of the regional groups. A membership in the JSPS Club is not necessary.

Currently there are 7 regional groups in Northern Germany, in Berlin-Brandenburg, Rhine-Ruhr, Rhine-Main-Neckar, Thuringia/Halle-Leipzig, Baden-Württemberg and Munich. The regional groups include members of the JSPS Club in the region as well as individuals and institutions interested in exchange with Japan in the respective region.

Events of the regional groups are varying and manifold. There may be excursions, lecture evenings, social gatherings, visits of cultural events, and much more. If you are interested, please get in touch with the responsible contact person.
